A terrible trumpet blasted its battle-cry across the United States of America, and indeed the whole world… and look what's happened since.Yet in the distance other trumpets beckon even more fearfully, their haunting tones crying ' Come away, the time is now!' 'Don't want to hear!' 'Cannot escape'. The sense of unreal certainty runs on the wind. It flies round the windows, it whispers at the door: "The summer is past, the harvest is over and gone!". Stay where you are, don't believe a word, shut your eyes and go to sleep.
