Multitudes of people are going to hell...

Take a look around you. Everywhere you look you will see people... people who are dying in sin, unaware that a Saviour died to give them eternal life. They do not know that Jesus died to rescue all mankind from sin and from hell. They don't know the good news because the message has not reached them. Until we get the message to them countless precious souls will continue to fall headlong into eternal damnation.

He was joined by men and women from all walks of life who shared one common goal.

In their hearts was burning a red hot passion for souls – a passion that drove them to give their lives to the task of bringing people to Jesus. William Booth knew he had to engage in a battle for the souls of the people of his day.

He proclaimed: "While there yet remains one dark soul without the light of God I’ll fight. I'll fight to the very end"

Multitudes of people are in the Valley of Decision and workers are needed to bring souls to Jesus. We are not seeking to raise yet another batch of nominal 'church-goers', but rather a radical and outstanding generation of soul winners who will get to work with passion and dedication in the harvest field heralding the return of Jesus Christ.

THE GREAT COMMISSION directs us to 'Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.....'

The Great Commission is not an optional extra for the believer. It is a Divine Command. Jesus did not suggest we do something about lost souls if we feel like it or if we can find the time somewhere in our busy schedule. He gave us a directive to go and preach the gospel to all people in all nations.

The question is - are we going to be obedient? Are we going to do what Jesus told us to do?

Souls are still dying. Today we face the same situation that William Booth faced more than a century ago. All around us men and women are still lost in iniquity and are in dire need of the salvation and new life that can only be found in Jesus.

Because the hour is late and the need is urgent it is time to take on board the plight of our fellow men and to become concerned about their fate - concerned enough to do something about it. In these days all believers should be fired up with passion for souls and thus be motivated to action.
